What the robot is doing matters
The dock looks completely dead
Check the cable at both ends and the wall outlet. The Curv manual says the dock status indicator is on when the dock is powered and the robot is not charging.
The robot docks, but nothing changes
Clean both charging surfaces. A thin layer of dust or residue can prevent enough contact for charging even when the robot appears to be seated correctly.
The robot reaches the dock, then adjusts repeatedly
Treat this as a final-position problem. Keep the dock flat against the wall on a hard, level floor and clear the approach path so the robot can settle squarely.
The robot is almost completely discharged
A very low battery can make the robot appear unresponsive. Leave it on a powered dock long enough to recover before repeatedly removing it to test.

Narrow down the charging fault
Is the multifunction dock definitely powered?
Check both ends of the power cable and confirm the station behaves normally when the robot is away from it.

Do not assume the outlet end is the only one that matters. Reseat the connector at the dock as well, then confirm the outlet works.
Look at the dock status indicator
With the robot away from the dock, the indicator should show that the dock is powered. If it is red, deal with the dock error before chasing a battery fault.
Clean the charging contacts
Unplug the dock and wipe the charging contacts on both the robot and dock with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid sprays or wet cleaning around live charging hardware.
Let the robot dock itself
Place the robot nearby and press Dock. Watching the final approach is useful because a robot that sits slightly crooked may never make a reliable electrical connection.
Check dock placement
The Qrevo Curv manual calls for a hard, flat floor with the dock against a wall and clear space around the station. A shifted or tilted dock can create repeatable alignment problems.
Restart the robot
If the physical connection looks correct but charging still does not start, restart the robot and repeat one docking attempt before escalating.
Give a deeply discharged battery time
If the robot will not power on, leave it on the powered dock rather than repeatedly removing it. The manual notes that a low battery can prevent the robot from turning on until it has charged.

Use the lights as a clue
Breathing power light
The Qrevo Curv manual identifies a breathing robot power indicator as charging or starting up. If the battery percentage is rising, the charging system is working.
Dock status light off while charging
On the multifunction dock, the status indicator is described as off when the robot is charging. This is normal and should not be mistaken for a dead dock.
Dock indicator red
A red dock indicator means the dock has an error. Check the app and any voice prompt before continuing with charging troubleshooting.
Stop before internal battery or dock repairs
If the dock has power, both charging surfaces are clean, the robot is seated correctly and a restart still produces no charging, the remaining fault may be inside the robot, battery or dock electronics. At that point, use Roborock support rather than opening powered components.
