Roborock Q Revo Keeps Getting Stuck

Use this guide when your Q Revo repeatedly gets trapped on rug edges, cords, chair legs, narrow gaps or the same patch of floor instead of completing its route normally.

8–12 min No special tools first Safe checks only
QUICK ANSWER

Clear cords and floor clutter, then clean the obstacle and cliff sensors.

The Q Revo manual tells owners to keep appliance cords out of the cleaning area and to clean its obstacle-avoidance, wall, carpet and cliff sensors with a soft dry cloth. If it always gets stuck in one place, inspect that rug edge, narrow gap or wheel path before assuming the navigation system has failed.

Typical trap: rug edges, fringe, cables and tight furniture gaps can physically stop the robot even when mapping is otherwise normal.
INTERACTIVE DIAGNOSIS

Find what is trapping the Q Revo

STEP 1 OF 3

Is there a cable, rug fringe, small object or very tight furniture gap where it gets stuck?

Check the exact location rather than the whole room.

How to stop repeated stuck events

01

Clear loose cords and small objects

Remove cables and loose items from the cleaning path. Roborock's Q Revo safety guidance specifically says appliance cords should be kept out of the area being cleaned.

2 min
02

Fix repeatable rug and furniture traps

Flatten curled rug edges, secure long fringe and open gaps that are just wide enough for the robot to enter but not turn around in.

3 min
03

Clean all navigation sensors

Wipe the Reactive Tech obstacle-avoidance sensor, wall sensor, carpet sensor and four cliff sensors with a soft dry cloth. Roborock lists these as routine sensor maintenance.

3 min
04

Inspect both main wheels

Remove trapped hair or fibers and check that each wheel moves and springs back normally. Do the same around the front omnidirectional wheel.

3 min
05

Use a no-go zone for an unavoidable trouble spot

If one carpet or transition remains problematic after physical cleanup, mark that area as a no-go zone in the app. The Q Revo manual explicitly supports carpet no-go zones.

06

Retest the same room

Start a normal clean from the dock and observe the previous trouble spot. If the robot now passes it repeatedly, the cause was environmental or maintenance-related rather than an internal navigation fault.

When to stop DIY

If the floor is clear, sensors are clean and the wheels move freely but the Q Revo repeatedly traps itself or behaves abnormally in open areas, avoid opening the LiDAR, drive-wheel assemblies or internal sensors. Use Roborock support or qualified service.

RELATED PROBLEMS

Use these guides when the symptom is more specific

01

Cannot Find Dock

Use this if the robot navigates the room but cannot reliably locate or return to the charging dock.

Docking
02

Side Brush Not Spinning

Use this if the robot moves normally but an edge brush is tangled or stopped.
